Wonderful forge from a wonderful company.
I wanted to take a little time to thoroughly test this thing out before giving a review and it's been a couple weeks now with numberous uses. Honestly this little guy is a wonderful forge and easily gets hot enough to really bring metal up to temp in no time. It's truly an amazing design and the company was wonderful to work with. I bought this for my son's birthday and the first one arrived really beaten up by the carrier, I was really worried that the replacement would not arrive in time but them made it happen even in the middle of a pandemic and now the child is happily doing what he loves to do. If you have the money, get the full sized forge just for the convenience of using full sized pieces of firewood, but truly you cannot go wrong ordering from these guys. They've earned a customer for life.

Poor instructions
I think this was a bargain of a forge. I'm excited to be using it. I will say that the instructions it came with could definitely use some work. I had to find a video on YouTube on how to assemble it.

Worth the money
It arrived on time and was easy to assemble, though due to damaged packaging two bolts had been lost but a quick trip to the hardware store sorted that out. it reached working temp easy, and maintained it all though the day. it will run off of scrap wood or lump charcoal, i do not recommend briquettes however ( think Kingsford) as the additives will likely wreck the steel you are working. The design is well thought out and well insulated i am able to touch the underside with out burning my self ( it is hot but not uncomfortably so). It will eat wood faster than you might think but that's not a huge problem. all in all its worth the price and i would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller sized forge that is ready to get the job done. the fact that is uses a renewable fuel is icing on the cake.

Great forge
My 15 year old wanted to learn how to forge. He was able to put it together himself. We did try using wood for fuel, but could not get it hot enough to forge a railroad spike. It may have been the wood we used. I did some research and looked at the tips which came with the forge. We ended up using natural charcoal ($20 at any big box store) and it worked better than can be expected. From cold spike to orange in less than 5 minutes.I also bought a cheap hairdryer and a piece of 3" duct and used this instead of a manual blower. I am happy and so is my son.

Simple and Effective
This is an amazing forge. After making quite a few homemade ones we decided to get this for my son for the holidays. It's easy to setup, easy to use and gets hot enough to forge weld. This version is only big enough for small projects and knives but my son and I love and can use it for years. No smelly coal, no buying bags of charcoal, just using scrap woods or even just free junk pallets and 2x4s. Tons of heat, very little waste.

9" or less
Very compact. I like it. Had 1 cracked brick and some missing nuts and bolts. Whitlox sent replacements in days. I'm very happy making shivs, brackets, and knife shaped objects. Maximum 9" section can be heated to temperature at one time.

Good piece!
Some of the bricks came cracked. The seller was very responsive and corrected the problem right away. The forge itself is very sturdy and easy to put together.

Great little forge!
This little thing has been a lot of fun to use. We bought it for my son’s birthday just to get him started, but don’t see him outgrowing it like we thought. The design allows for multiple fuels to be used which is perfect. If your on the fence don’t be. Highly recommended.
