These units worked well to stop backflow and siphoning in my RV water system. I would recommend these if you have water pump cycling due to air loss or pressure loss.

I am feeding chemistry into a well pump water stream. 40-50 psi operating pressure. I buy them far to frequently because they fail often. using 1/4" ID poly tubing & small hose clamps. The break at the hose barb base. Nothing is unsupported or special about the application.

I tested these prior to installing by blowing through them. That was the only way to determine the direction of flow. It takes fairly good pressure to open the valve and there was no backflow at all (I was preventing siphoning). I carefully heated the rubber hose prior to installing and that made inserting the valves much easier.

I bought 2 packs of these (so 4 check valves total) and 2 of the 4 have pinhole leaks in the middle of the body section (not the ends where the hoses connect, but in the solid plastic part). Obviously for $6 these aren't super high quality, but 50% failure is pretty bad.

Intended to use this to prevent siphoning, but the valve won't open with the small water column behind it. Might be good for usage with pumps, but not for what I needed it to do.

It works flawlessly, ensuring a one-way flow that's essential for my setup. Its ozone resistance and durable PVDF plastic construction make it a reliable and long-lasting choice. The factory check valve for my 2011 Ford Flex window washer fluid basically disintegrated. Ford doesn't sell just the valve; they expect you to buy the cowling assembly which comes with the valve and tubing for $195.00 to well over $200.00 !! No way ! I found this perfect little nylon check valve with 1/4 inch ends that came in a pack of two for just a few dollars. As the tubing was still in great shape, I just replaced the valve. Saved a ton of time and money. And I have a spare. Thank you! Joe N

Worked perfectly for my purpose. Only problem is that it's not marked which direction it should flow and a check valve only works one way. I just blew through each opening to figure out which direction would prevent air from going through before installing it.

Check out my picture. The hours is 3/8" ID (see labelling on hoes). Compare to labelling of the package these came in and the one connected to the hoes. 🤨
