works great
This light is extremely bright. I use this with an XS 2000. This light is significantly brighter than the XS 2000. This light does get hot, which is good for me because my plants are in a cold garage, but if you have heat issues, I would recommend getting a light with a removable ballast that can be kept outside the tent.

Great professional grade lights.
You don't need to buy the big 1000w led lights to have a professional grow. These pro series lights work great for a grid setup in whatever size room. And at being able to run 9 or 10 lights per 20amp breaker is also a huge cost saver over MH or HPS lights. Comes with umol grid calibrated at 15.5 in over the big ones at 6in. Great light. Stackable. Will be buying many more soon.

A very nice grow light
I just have a small indoor garden. This turned out to be a very wise purchase. I probably could have spent a lot more money and not got anything any better than this. I wanted to wait a while to see how it worked out before I left a review. I'm going to buy a second one.

Good customer service
Just got the P2500 today. First impressions is it's well made, no loose parts nor any dents or scratches. What I like about it: 1. Tool free dimming, many other models require a screwdriver to adjust intensity on the driver. 2. Good coverage. Manual says it covers 3.5 x 4 ft but that's the most it'll cover providing minimum light, I'd stick with more like 3 x 3.5 ft coverage. Light spectrum to the eye it looks like a bright sunny day. #3. Low heat output. Driver gets warm to the touch but you can't cook an egg on it. 4. It's silent. Noise isn't an issue to me since you should really be running fans for circulation. Not much to dislike but still have a couple weak points. 1. No infrared wavelength. 2. Does not use the superior Meanwell driver.Overall appears to be a very good light that could be great by including IR leds and using a Meanwell driver.*UPDATE* 8 months later (and half that time the light stayed in the box) about 25 diodes to the right of the dimmer switch have dimmed even though light is set at 100%, with the dimmer at lowest setting this group of LED's are still dimmer than the rest of the panel. Not at all happy with this light anymore and pretty sure I'm done with the Viparspectra product line.*UPDATE 2* Contacted Viparspectra and they provided shipping label for warranty return of light. They sent a replacement when they received the defective one. Replacement works like it should.

Your best option
My 5th P2500 just arrived today. I've tried many different brands of PCBs and there are many quality boards on the market that vary wildly in price for effectively the same performance, from HLG to these boards by viparspectra. Trust me when I say these boards perform just as well as any HLG board. I started with a Spider Farmer 4000, which is still a nice board but I'd prefer 2 of these for a 4X4 over a SF4000 any day of the week. Plus for the price you could get 3 of these (750watts) for less than the price of 1 SF4000 (which pulls 438watts at the wall.) Just because these things are affordable does not mean they are low quality, quite the opposite, they are well built and VERY high quality. A very sturdy, solid, quality piece of equipment. It's time to kick those dinosaur HID bulbs back out into the street where they belong (even though street lamps are rapidly being replaced by LEDs as well lol.) Machines with a price point like these make it possible for people to dip their toes in, take LEDs for a test drive before converting their entire grow space. But trust me, after taking one of these for a test drive you will immediately start contemplating your conversion lol. It's easy to get a gram per watt with these things, if you're a skilled grower much more than that is possible. I can't say enough good things about it. I've recommended them to several friends who are all very pleased with them. And I'm talking guys who grew with HIDs for over 20 years. The future is here! Say goodbye to dinosaur equipment. Quit debating it, this is the one you want. Quality, affordable. Nuff said

Great light for a 4x2 grow
If you want a great light for your 4x2 grow tent needs, this is the one. Grabbed it on sale, and I'm glad I did. I had been looking at much pricier light but realized I didn't have to spend so much to get high quality. Doesn't get too hot. But stay within the recommended height and brightness levels. It's easy to think your plants can handle more light than they can. If your leaves are consistently reaching upwards, gradually give them more. If they are drawing away and bowing down, maybe turn down the brightness or raise the light (or both). Whether you're a beginner or have multiple grows under your belt, this light will get the job done.
