Sharper ImageWireless TV Speaker

Bought it here for my nephew and his wife. I got mine from Sharper Image and was pleased to see it here too. My brother-in-law was visiting and shared that he had bought one and how great he thought it was. My guy watches stuff I do not want to watch in the evening. So I connected mine speaker to the set in the master. I like that the volume is right next to me as I watch a show. If I change channels and the volume on the next channel is louder or an ad comes on and they blast it, I can quickly turn it down and then up it again for the show. I like that the sound is always with you - carry the speaker into the bathroom, living room, kitchen for a coffee - never miss what they are saying if the vision for something is not important - like golf or baseball....they never shut up. Raise bed to watch tv and then decide to use recliner, just carry the speaker from bed to side table. I don't want a headset or having to use my remote -just turn that little dial and enjoy. I have had about 5 years and believe me, when it dies, I want another asap! Yup, I would buy this again. Actually, great for seniors who are hard of hearing and don't believe they are. With the speaker right at their hands - sound would surely be nicer for those in the room or even the next room.

We have recently moved into an open home with our bedroom in a loft. We have 2 tv’s pretty close and the sound travels both ways. I was only looking for something to use when the hubby goes up to relax and watch football. In order for me to hear my tv, I have to put it louder than football! This lil speaker is the absolute best. This is the 2nd night of my using it and I am loving it so far. It has the option to hook it to the tv or the cable box. After the initial charge It installed in less than 5 minutes. I used the included sound/video cord to connect the base to my Direct tv box, I turned the speaker on at it immediately picked up the sound. It sits perfect on my side table, the sound is very sharp and I can actually hear words. Most movies, series and sitcoms have such loud background music and noise you can barely hear what’s going on. Not with this speaker. There is a convenient battery icon/light so I can be aware of when to charge. I’m assuming I can dock/charge it daily, tho. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Not reliable. stopped working after two months. I am sorry I missed the return deadline. I liked the original speaker from ten years ago but I will not buy a Sharper Image product again.

I'm not sure why but my husband had to work a bit to install this, but once in place this is an amazing help for those with any kind of hearing loss. I have it in my bedroom and since the speaker can be right beside me I can use a lower volume and hear better than ever (I assume the same is true for those without a hearing loss as well). This is especially important when the family is in the next room as they can't hear my TV while I still can! I miss much less of a program conversation when the speaker is right beside me. IDK what I would do without this now.

I was disappointed the unit only came with ONE power adapter! That means you have to place the speaker on the base station to charge it! I called the company and got yadda yadda! Who wants to haul a speaker back and forth when a 2nd 9 VDC power adaptor could have been included?

The charge does not last enough when is use remotely.

We bought one of these several years ago from Sharper Image for our stepfather. The entire family has enjoyed it because we don’t have to have the tv turned up so loud that it blasts us out of the house. (Or the sound bar, or the wireless speakers)I bought my husband a sound bar, then I bought him a set of wireless speakers. Then I bought him this little speaker and suggested he try it for a weekend and see which one he likes best. He picked this portable speaker. He can set it by his chair and we can all hear it. You can set the volume so that it will play from the speaker and the tv or just from the speaker.Well worth the spend
