Quality
A recipe I want to cook for Christmas EveFilet of Beef tenderloin Tips “Maharani” is calling for Sambal Oelek and Manis. I needed fresh Sambals. Tried this Sambal, it was wonderful, kind of Smokey, not too spicy, just right!!!!!

Awesome condiment!
This is a delicious condiment that really adds a lot of flavor and character to any meal without being overpowering or too hot! I grew up eating this stuff and it is a necessity in our house. It's made of quality products and compliments any food! It's got a delicious bit of heat with some onion and brown sugar added to it and much better than your store brand sriracha sauce. No problem with delivery and came sealed and wrapped in the box with no issues. I highly recommend this condiment for any household!

Great for stir fry and even on grilled cheese sandwiches
I love this stuff!!! However, it just arrived ( dec 5, 2024) and it’s best by date is Jan 2025. Not thrilled about that.

Delicious!
I used this sauce on broiled shrimp. It was fabulous! It's spice but has a wonderful depth of flavor. I served it with pickled carrots, fresh cucumbers, rice, cilantro, and some crushed peanuts. And a slice of lime. I will be buying this again! I highly recommend this!!!!

Excellent jarred sambal close enough to SE Asian sambal
Don't get this if you're not used to or exposed to South East Asian food like nasi goreng, roti canai, nasi lemak, chicken congee etc. It's not for experimenting with and you probably won't like the flavor unless you've been exposed. I read one review who used this for a fruit cake.....that's just weird and wrong. This is sweeter than your average sambal used as a condiment for most of the dishes I mentioned above but still great. If you're a purist, you'll probably know how to make this yourself like I do. If you're lazy like me, you'll probably also want an option to get it in a jar like I do, sacrificing a little authenticity for convenience.I bought this to eat with instant pot chicken congee I make during winter when I need a little comfort food. Pair it with salted duck egg or salted fish, a drizzle of sesame oil and the congee is perfect.

Meh. Too sweet.
Just meh. It’s too sweet & no replacement for Huy Fong that’s for sure. If you like sweet chili garlic sauce maybe this is for you but that’s not what I was looking for at all. I threw it away.

This product does not meet with the high expectation I have known from Conimex. Maybe I would feel more favorable to this light colored Badjak(I am used to a much darker colored badjak made in Jogjakarta) if the cost for the small bottle was not so extravagant. Thirty US dollars for two 6 oz bottles is over priced for this product.I will continue to use Samba Oelek made here in the USA for less than 3 dollars for 18 ozs.I would be interested to hear of any change to a more realistic price for Conimex Sambals.RT
