Dr Livingston, I presume?This pith helmet style (also known as UK Pith Helmet) is associated with British colonial and foreign service history. It is made from trees grown in the northern part of Vietnam. The material can sustain heavy sunlight as well as rain. When wet the hat may become a bit softer, but then dries to its original state. The Vietnamese learned the art of pith helmet manufacturing a hundred years ago from the French during their occupation. Due to the handmade nature of the Pith Helmets, please be advised that there may be some minor imperfections in the construction of the hat. These imperfections should not hinder the look or the wear of the helmet. Hat Sizing Info: Small/Medium adjustable cotton sweatband fits heads from 55 cm to 57 cm. Large/X-Large adjustable cotton sweatband fits heads from 58 cm to 60 cm.

A Lovely hat.
Lovely hat. Sadly I had to adjust the band inside (rip it out) The hat then did fit. I do have a large head, I'll have to put a sweat band inside but apart from that It is a lovely hat. If you want something different for the summer get one of these. Delivery box was a tad large, but the order arrived in good time and condition. Did i mention that it is a lovely hat? My 23yr old daughter wanted it. I may even buy the white one to have the set.

it ain't half good ma'am
bought for the jubilee and will have outing's at other pomp and circumstance affairs such as prom concerts etc!, delivery- great, manufacture- great, can't fault it really. this is not the wider brim style as per explorer/dr.livingstone i presume ?...as an aside i was horrified to find how practical the damn thing is! jubilee party was a sweltering affair in a field- the v front protects the nose whilst maintaining good vision, the brim whilst not wide protects the tops of ears and nape of neck and the height means it is cool and not at all sweaty to wear. might look like a nit but dash it all a damned well thought out piece of kit! hussah! ....by the way do excuse me i seem to have invaded your country. terribly sorry old boy.

Excellent fancy dress hat at a good price
I bought this for a fancy dress party and went for one of the less cheap ones. I am very happy I did as this was a very good buy. Good quality, a good fit - not uncomfortable at all, in fact I pretty much wore it constantly all night, including dancing!

Needed a Pith Helmet for a photographic shoot and this is just perfect. Well made comfy and adjustable for all but the biggest heads. Love it

Very authentic
Although pricy this was just what we wanted and looks good. Will be in our fancy dress costumes box for years to come i can see!
