yes, it is 100% glycol and is not harmful.

Q: What is the expiration date of this item?

I received 2 new canisters in March 2020. They will expire April 2022.

Yes this product work wonderful. It is the generic of Miralax just less money. I used one capfull each morning until there was no more "wood"
