Perfect for its size!
The only reason i bought this fan was to cool off my massive power brick for my lenovo legion 7i laptop & it gets very warm to the touch when i am using my laptop.I have a cool stand for the laptop & i might use it for my laptop, external hard drives. So far it is keeping the power brick nice & cool considering how much heat it puts out running my beast of a laptop.I got the (small fan version) Its the perfect size & compact, the stand is very firm. It is well built and looks good and not cheap looking and i really do like the usb power source. The blades are plastic so no fear for your fingers getting damaged or cut up. By mistake it happen to me moving the fan and no issues at all. There is a single push button that control everything (on & off and 3 speed modes)On high mode, its perfect to getting a breeze of air. Its meant to be near you (less then 3 feet) on your desk and thats about it. The fan only rotates straight up and down.TRUE its NOT the most powerful fan but for its size its very good for what i meant to be used.Just my observation, there is a brief soft beeping noise only if i plug into a external usb hub when i turn it on. But when i plug into a regular usb connection there was no beeping noise.

Decent desk fan
It's a decent desk fan, you buy it because it looks cool, and you'll want it pretty close to push any appreciable air. It is a usb plug in, so any computer port will do. It has 3 settings, the fastest is loud, but the next 2 speeds are pretty quiet and not distracting. The fan blades are foam, so no grill needed. If you jam your finger in there it won't hurt, it'll just stop the blade.I would buy again for keeping some air flowing at my desk (I would also consider it as a good bedside fan). It tilts up and down several degrees.

Neat little fan - good air volume - a wee bit noisy ...
- Neat little desk fan - notice the word desk fan - not meant to be a window fan - or as a primary way of keeping you cool @ night - mine sits on top of my Dell 5600 Desktop which is sitting under my desk to blow air on my mid section & upper body as I work from home. I took one star - cause on the high setting - it's a wee bit noisy - annoying enough to take a star off - even with listening to XM Radio on my PC through my Bose speakers - you get this weird vibrating noise - it actually doesn't wobble - or walk off my PC - it's just annoying enough to keep it on the high setting for any extended period of time. The actual look of this unit is really cool - sorta / kinda looks like a mini jet / rocket engine - one of the draws for me visually. For the price - it's decent enough & ok - to be completely fair - adding the wall adapter into the package is a nice touch - although - I'm just running it off one of the front PC USB ports & it works just fine that way ...

Good for an office desk
I work in an open warehouse environment and wanted something for hot days. This doesn’t move a ton of air, but it does take the edge off when it’s warm. It does move enough air to blow papers off my desk, so I wouldn’t want it stronger. Very quiet, but occasionally makes a slight hum.Switch just a touch surface so sometimes hard to tell if I changed a setting. I just unplug it to shut it off. Nice little fan. Looks great. Definitely buy it again.

liked the retro styling AND it works well in my desk space
I needed a small-ish and quiet fan for my desk area this summer. This medium-sized fan has 3 speeds and the lowest speed makes about the same noise as my laptop cooler unit. I'm happy with the size--it fits on a shelf. The plug needs a USB port connector (converter included) or can be plugged directly into your laptop.

Looks nice, but not very functional
Bought this because of the way it looked, and the reviews raving about how quiet it is. This really is the best looking fan in its category, but it really doesn't move enough air to cool you down. The air that it does move goes off at an angle as well.. so you have to point the fan at a 45 degree angle away from you to get any air on you. I returned it.

fairly quiet but the controls,..
i wanted a quiet small fan to sit by the nightstand. i already had usb ports there and thought this would work out well for my needs.first off do not get this if you have small children! there is nothing to keep tiny fingers out. granted it isn't sharp enough or spins fast enough to amputate a digit still speaking from experience it does hurt on accidental contact.that said the fan is pretty quiet and sips electricity via any usb wall plug or port. the air flow won't blow you away so to speak but it's okay if positioned fairly nearby. the big problem however comes down to the absolutely terrible control design.you have no idea what speed you are on except by listening to it and even then it can be difficult to discern. the touch button at the rear of the fan doesn't click or anything. you just press it and press it and press it. sometimes i've gone through multiple cycles just to get it to turn off. then as said with no guard for the blades when fiddling around with that awful power/speed button you need be very careful or you feel the pain of the blade on your fingers.seriously if they had just gone with literally any other type button or even placement it would have been okay but as designed i would never buy this again no matter. fyi the 'wood' is plastic but that's understandable at this price.
