This is overall a good bird feeder but like most they tend to take on water when it rains which causes the seed to get soaked and spoil. I drilled additional holes in the base for drainage and that seems to help a little but still not enough. The best advice i would give that i did was to buy two and just fill each one enough for a weeks feeding depending on your bird traffic and then rotate them. This way there is less waste and overall is is better for the birds as rotten seed can cause them illness. Another trick i learned was to apply a thin coat of generic brand Vaporub on the metal pole about half way up to the feeder and this keeps the squirrels off for quite a while and it usually lasts for weeks and then reapply as needed. They don't like the scent and it is too slippery so they will steer clear of the feeder.

The feeder works well and holds an ample volume of seed. My only complaint is that the cover is a bit difficult to secure to the feeder. It requires two hands and a place to set the feeder down. Attempting to put the cover on while holding the feeder ends with some of the seed falling to the ground.

For the price this is ok. It's easy to fill and stay stable even in medium wind gusts. I usually only fill it halfway. In 3 days it's basically empty. When larger birds land on it they cause it to swing and the seeds pour out into the tray to the top and when ever more birds land on it, this causes seeds to spill out of the tray onto the ground. Maybe the lip of the tray should be higher to keep the seeds from spilling out. Maybe I'll replace the cable with a piece of 12 ga galvanized wire to keep it from rocking when birds land on it.

I was i the need for a new bird feeder, Had one that I had used for years, that had gotten broken. I had looked and bought this one to replace it. It is very close to the one that I had to replace and looks like it. can only hope that I get many years out of this one.

Nice design, but feeder is a bit flimsy. The top is plastic and not metal as advertised. Struggling with putting the top back on after filling feeder. Afraid that interlocking plastic pieces might break off.Day 2: This morning I find feeder on the ground in pieces. Bottom broke apart. Feeder is made of thin, brittle plastic. Reduced my rating by one star down to two. I do not recommend this item.

I really enjoyed watching the birds find this one. And go nuts once they do. But be careful as to the feed you use in yours, as I used feed that was partially too big. So the next feed I got was a lot smaller and the birds, as well as the cat, really enjoyed it. And I enjoyed watching the cat watching the birds eat!!

This is a cute little bird feeder. I am sure the birds will enjoy the birdseed out of it this winter. It's top comes off so you can fill it and it seems to come out well and is contained well around the bottom with the ledge.

These feeders arrived quickly and without damage. The birds are just now finding them since they are in a different location than our old feeder. Time will tell if they last, but appear to be made well.

I was pleased to be able to get these birdfeeders. I have had 4 of them for several years and wanted to get some additional so I can switch them out easily during the winter. I have seen reviews saying that the tops are hard to get off but there is a knack to it that doesn't take long to master and the tops stay on very well, notwithstanding the squirrels have made every effort (and failed) to remove them. There are nooks inside that are hard to clean but I just use a small brush to dislodge the debris. I have tried other feeders but the birds like them and so do I.

Nice little bird feeder but seed gets very wet if it’s raining. Comes apart for cleaning easy but has all kinds of little corners for bits to get stuck in. No way to put on a wide lid to help with the rain. Made of soft plastic. Birds like it.

No suction on this Feeder just hung it outside on my shepards hook birds of course love it. Easy too fill,clean, wish it had more vocer over seeds for rain but I put head umbrella over feeder.

Quite big (holds about 1 lb of birdseed). It has a wire cable loop instead of nylon (like most).

The top is a bit tricky to put on securely. The bottom broke off totally and I had to glue it
