Of course filtering out impurities is first but for me second is I’m not adding toxic plastic to the massive amount taxing the planet. The filter itself has a small amount in the base but otherwise it’s biodegradable, long lasting and attractive metal and ceramic, even the spout. After a year it doesn’t leak, looks shiny and handsome on the counter and prepares enough pure clean-tasting water to last two or three days. Takes a few seconds to refill with a couple tea kettles of water. I only wish they’d make a small portable one about the size of their plastic pitcher since everyone traveling should pack a filter pitcher - takes up minimal room filled with clothes - and avoid generating nasty plastic trash.

I bought it to filter out fluoride, chloramines, etc. in the water. Any water filter should be dried out between uses so that mold doesn't grow. The instructions merely say to clean the whole system every 1 to 2 months. It was a big job to put it together, and the 1 filter (2 could be used) is too close to the canister wall to allow manual scrubbing. I don't want leaks, so I don't want to take it apart, ever. My plan is to simply let the system dry out between uses.

Use everyday, works great and have had over 2 years. Finally stopped buying water or filling bottles.

I bought this Traveler for when I travel. I used it this past weekend. The hotel I stayed has heavily chlorinated water. So much so my dog refuses to drink it. So this time I was prepared! The water came out of the Traveler tasting wonderful, and my dog enjoyed it as well

This was a scratch and dent and I couldnt find a mark on it. There are few purchases I love as much as my propure. Clean flouride free water? Take my money.

Love that the price was discounted. I'm not even sure where it was damaged. (I got a scratch and dent discount.)
