Decent spotting scope for the money. Phone adapter is a joke. Doesn't fit the eye piece just falls off. Unfortunately the phone capability is the main reason I purchased the scope. Going to have to decide if I want to keep it or send it back.

I like this scope. I honestly do. It's very light, the image is clear, and the 25 to 75x zoom range is great. I would have liked a large objective lens to draw in more light, but I knew what I was getting, so that doesn't count against it.Like any decent spotting scope, it is nitrogen filled. That insures that there is no water vapor inside.Here are the niggling things that together, resulted in a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating. The "manual" is sparse and written by a non-native speaker. That is to say that the English is poor, although it's not too hard to figure out. But the instructions don't explain how to use the included cell phone holder, which I assume is for digiscoping. I examined it carefully, but cannot for the life of me, figure how to use that cell phone holder with the spotting scope. The little tripod that comes with it is a minus, not a plus. Suffice it to say that the tripod is so low in quality, that it is more of a hindrance than a help.There is a plastic part that is included, but it does not appear in the documentation. It looks like a little nozzle. What is this mystery piece? The only thing that sort of makes sense, it that it is supposed to go on the eyepiece to block errant light when you are digiscoping with your cell phone. The large end fits loosely on the eyepiece, and the small hole on the other end is just large enough for a cell phone's camera lens to look through. But who knows? It's never explained.My suggestion is to throw away the tripod, the cell phone holder, and the mystery piece. I certainly will.Just keep the lightly padded fabric case with handles, and the spotting scope itself. It's nice that the eyepiece has a sturdy protective cover which screws on. It would have been nice if there were instructions telling you that it's screwed on. I had to experiment when I first removed it. One more nice touch on the scope is that it has an extendable lens shade that extends and retracts very easily.This scope is light, easily totable, and the image is sharp. Get a decent tripod and you'll be all set.

The media could not be loaded.  So, for my self I was not planning on using the tripod because I have a similar brand with the same tripod and I found they are very inconvenient and I just rather use a full size camera tripod with pan/tilt features (which you can find for as cheap as 25 bucks). I did hope to use the cell phone adapter and was really disappointed that it was completely unusable. The cup that slides over the eyepiece to hold the cell phone adapter on is so loose that it just falls off (check out my video), it has about 1/4 inch gap not even close to a snug fit. I did test out the tripod that came with it and the one I got had issues. First it would not pan, I had to grab it with both hands and twist it a bunch of times to even get it to start to move (yes I had the locks fully loosened up). Now that I got it moving (panning right to left) it still is not a free flowing pan it takes some effort. The tilt has issues for me as well. I could not tighten tilt lock enough to stop the scope from just dropping out of position, it would just not hold tight. So the tripod was not usable just for that tilt issue I had with it.When I first unboxed the scope and looked though the manual I was really confused reading it, overall much of what it was saying did not make sense and it was leaving me with more questions then answers. Then when taking off the lens covers the eyepiece one was soo tight that the whole eyepiece came off when I unscrewed the cover. I was later able to unscrew the eyepiece out of the cover, it was really tight, and then I screwed the eyepiece back into the scope.Overall the scope it self less the accessories is nice, The focus knob turns very easily, as well as the zoom level on the eye piece. The sun shade works well to. It is amazing having a 75x scope you can really zoom in close to things far away. We have a hawk nest in a near by eucalyptus tree 100 feet in the air and we can zoom right up to the hawk and see her full frame! Just wish I can get a picture, but as stated above the cell phone adapter is a no go, I'll have to see if I can find a aftermarket one.
