Kid tested, mother approved. My kid crashed his 4-wheeler and this bad boy saved him from broken ribs. Worth every penny.

Durability.
This is an amazing vest. I got it today, went out with it, ended up crashing pretty bad, broke my collar bone but not one scratch or abrasion to my chest, shoulders or back. It did it's exact job, these won't protect you from breaks but it's nice to not have my skin tore up. Ohh and vest is very durable shoulder pads of impact is still in great shape. Safe riding everyoneđ

5'11", 150lbs adult - fits perfectly! lightweight upper body protection with plenty of airflow. So far, this is a terrific product!

Insufficient foam padding underneath
Iâm 5â6â, 140lbs and the S/M fit me great. I like that the deflector is lightweight and seems like itâs good quality. However, all of the metal rivots on the underside (the side that contacts the body) are exposed. Two rivots in particular contacted directly on my chest bone. If I were to take a direct fall or impact I would be concerned about the rivots causing injury to my upper ribs/chest area. Also, the underside plastic of where the white buckles latch are also exposed. If I push down firmly on the deflector I feel the rough plastic contact my lower ribs. Again, if I were to take an impact there it wouldn't feel good.Strangely, the deflector has a foam layer on most of the underside so I don't understand why some areas aren't covered. I think if all the exposed rivot/plastic areas on the underside were covered with a layer of foam then the problem would be solved.Lastly, given that the shoulder pads are permanently attached to a removable Velcro strap that holds the front and rear protector together, I don't see why Fox can't also supply a second set of Velcro straps that do not have the shoulder pads attached. Or make the shoulder pads removable. This would make the whole deflector more versatile.Due to the exposed rivots and rough plastic on the underside, I ended up returning the deflector.
