Pretty nice quality so far
Its a ignition switch. It fit and feels decent for the price. Replaced the broken one in my lawn mower. I'll report back if it fails. They also sell these at TSC.

Seems "well built" with good "heft"
I thought I knew how to test a switch with my ohm meter and consequently I returned the first switch when I bet it was my fault for not understanding the design. When I got the return/replacement (super easy and fast, Thanks Amazon), I tested it with same result but decided to install it anyway and to my surprise it works perfectly.

Very Fast!!
The product arrived, but I wish I had just returned it as defective. The switch was incredibly difficult to turn unless the key was forcefully jammed all the way in. Once jammed in, the switch turned from off to on to start no problems. But removing the key was also incredibly difficult. The two keys that came with this item worked well in my other John Deere products, but John Deere keys wouldn’t work in this switch. Now for the fun part- once installed, I started the gator, and the key remained in the ‘start’ position.Boy that old starter motor sure has a heck of a grind to it. Trying to disengage the ignition felt like it took forever. And I’ll need a new starter very soon.Needless to say I took a hammer to the switch and knocked it out of place to disconnect the wires. Once it was disconnected and removed, I got really angry and chucked this crappy piece of hardware as far as I could throw it.Boy it sure can travel very fast. That’s about all I have to say about this awful product. Next time spend the couple extra bucks and go OEM. I am.
