Truth be told, I'm not much of a gamer. My husband is though and his headset has been broken for over a year. He's been limping it through due to the cost of nice gaming headsets. This one was a reasonable price and had some nice features, so I thought I'd get it for him to try. Camo isn't his thing but for the price, he could get on board. He is a PC gamer, and these seemed to work well for that.The cushions are super comfortable (especially after using the broken one for so long). It blocks out noise really well. For him that's a plus. Personally, I like when he can hear me talking to him. 🤷 The cord is made of a braided material that keeps it safe from breaking. My husband's favorite part is that the microphone can be moved out of the way easily if no one else is online but he still wants to wear the headset. On his old headset, he always had to cover the mic to talk to me so he wouldn't be talking over his friends' conversations. With this moving arm, he will be able to move the microphone and have both hands free when I ask him questions. The lights don't really do much, but they look cool. 😂 So far, we're on board with this headset.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, who is the "what do you mean I need to take a break? I've only been playing this for three days straight" kind of gamer. She needed a new headset. I needed affordability. We're both happy. Well, she's happy. I'm being ignored. I did force her to give me information for this review, though.Sound: It's clear and crisp, but it's also capable of being very loud. My kid is grown, but if you're buying for younger people, you might want to keep a check on their volume. My daughter stood across the room with the headphones around her neck and turned up the volume, and I could clearly hear the music playing. That's great, in my opinion. If you don't want to drown out the world, you can wear them this way and just listen.The noise cancelation seems to be total. With these on your ear, even while not playing anything, the rest of the world fades away.The microphone works well and is clear, too.Connections: This headset comes with multiple connections, both standard headphone connection and a USB connection, so it connects to her phone, computer, and PS4. That's the only systems she uses, so I don't know about anything else.Durability: I'll let you know. This just arrived today. It seems sturdy and high quality, but that's a question only time can really answer.*Update*It's still awesome, and it's still being used daily. In fact, I've had to buy two more for my other kids.

These things are awesome, and comfortable too. As you can see in my photographs, there is plenty of cushion around the ear, as well as on top of the head. Everywhere that touches you, feels like soft cushiony leather. It has a flip up mic. So you can flip it up if your not using it. That way you wont accidentally break it. Its adjustable, if you have an extra large head like I do, and it has a volume control, conveniently located on the wire, and within easy reach. I recommend these headphones if you are in the market for a headset.

We purchased the Beexcellent GM-5/500 Headphones for my 8 year old to use for (1) gaming (particularly so he could listen and use the mic for Fortnite) and (2) listen to music while is homeschooling. We stumbled across this particular set after searching Amazon for camouflaged headphones. Not only were these the coolest camouflaged headphones that we could find (camo pattern and blue LED lights were awesome!) but the price-point was extremely reasonable. Admittedly, I was initially skeptical about the quality of headphones that were so reasonably priced, especially when you consider how expensive some of the name brand headphones can be!When you first open and unpack the headphones, the first thing you'll notice is that they feel sturdy, they look clean and well designed and the padding feels well constructed, soft and comfortable. The microphone rotates with enough friction and stability that there shouldn't be any concern of it breaking or losing rigidity. Lastly, the cords feel strong and well crafted, from the left ear piece, through the volume/mic control box and down to the USB/headphone splitter. The only part of the headset that lacks some sturdiness is the plastic volume/mic control box. It's not loose and my son has had no problems with its function but compared to the construction of the rest of the headset, it just doesn't feel as "heavy duty."The quality of the headphones is remarkably clear and provides a well-balanced quality of low and high sounds. Although, I have used headphones that provide a deeper and fuller bass, for the price-point, the sound quality is better than expected.The blue LED lights will only work if the headset USB cable is plugged in.We own an Xbox One S so we were able to directly plugged the headphone jack directly into the bottom of the controller. I have read that the original Xbox One console will require a special adapter in order to enable the microphone but this is something that I didn't have to worry about. I will say that with enough internet searching you will find that there are a large number of articles that discuss these adapters.I do want to briefly discuss the microphone. When we first received the headset we believed we would be able to use the microphone by simply plugging it into the bottom of the headset. At first, this was not the case. After much research and adjustment of the headphone/microphone settings on our Xbox One S, I was able to get the microphone working. On a side note, if you are looking to test your microphones functionality, I recommend downloading the Skype app and conducting a microphone test - this is how I was able to confirm that the mic was in fact functioning.Overall, I believe that this set of headphones is well enough constructed to last my son many years. If you're looking for a sturdy product with high quality sound, clear microphone functionality and a price point that is extremely reasonable, I would recommend the Beexcellent GM-5/500 Headphones.

Overall really liked the headset. The size and comfort really worked well for me (I have a medium/large head I think). The quality of the sound and microphone worked really well. I only wish it was a little bit louder, although I could hear everything that my teammates said, and the background sound from the game. The headphone cable is made of a flexible and durable material, so it feels like it will last.

Sound is absolutely spot on, it's literal only drawback (and it's not a big one) is if you have the USB in as well as the aux-in you get some static feedback. Not a lot, but noticeable but that's only an issue if you want the fancy lights on. Otherwise, fantastic sound for the price!

This is the second set of these headphones that we have bought; firstly for my son to use whilst gaming and secondly for my daughter to use with her music. They seem really good quality and I have borrowed them myself whilst making technical videos/recordings for work as the sound is great.My only negative is that whilst my daughter loves the lights on the side, you have to have them plugged in to the mains for that and I think they are quite heavy for a child, but neither of the kids seem to complain..

Very impressed with the sound quality for budget headphones. Very pleased.

Love these but you have to be near to the console to be able to have them lit up. :/Which is the other side of the room for me.
