No Problems Yet!
It arrived quickly! We used it on untreated wood for our garden beds. It did not change the wood's color like others had experienced. It is sticky so I recommend that you wear gloves while applying it. There have been no problems yet, so I guess we shall see. I like that this type of product is offered.

Nice thought but no cigar
We've treated our antique buffet 3 times now with this product and the termites just keep coming back. I think we're feeding them rather than killing / repelling them.

Easy to use with a reasonable price
Product is easy to mix and apply. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the product yet as that it's only been on a month in the fall. I'll try to update next summer when the boring insects are much more active. I followed the instructions on mixing and applied on a couple of makeshift log benches that my son built to have near a campfire. It stained the wood slightly dark (almost a richer color). The two minor downsides: I did have some difficulty opening the package. Pulling the ziplock apart was a bit difficult (good seal) which then created a puff of dust in the air. The other problem is that the instructions on mixing and application was inside the bag. I had to poke around a bit to find it. The interesting thing to note is that the instructions indicate to avoid breathing in the dust and eyet contact as it could be an eye-irritant. Given the shortness of the instructions, they could easily have been printed on the outside of the bag. I took a star off for these two 'safety' issues.

Didn't do the job
Despite three sprayings, my 2 x 12 x 12 maple boards they still have powder post beetles as evidenced by boring sawdust piles. I used the entire gallon over the course of 3 sprays. The coverage should have been 600 square feet. I wish it worked as the alternative treatments are much more expensive.

Measurements for less than a gallon
How to measure for less than 1 gallon: product comes in bag with directions to mix with 1 gallon of water. No directions included for how much powder to use with less water. So here is the information I came up with to use less than full amount: the full amount of powder is 5 dry cups. So half the bag would be 2 and 1/2 cups powder to 1/2 gallon of water. Or for 1/4 of the bag: 1 and 1/4 cups of powder to 1 quart of water. Hopefully that helps if you need to use less.

Great to use on lumber in the garden
I have painted the boards I used to make a compost bin. It was easy to mix the wood gard with water and then to apply it.I don't know how long this will ast but I feel better for having used it as it provides protection for the wood and does not harm anything in the bin.

Worth the Money
I purchased this on the recommendation of a friend. We're both interested in non-toxic products, especially for products that will be around our vegetable garden. I found it very easy to use. Like most resealable packages, the seal was somewhat difficult to reseal but I just folded it over and used duct tape to ensure it stays dry and doesn't leak until the next time I want to use it. I did wear gloves when using it because it tends to be a little messy. I cannot attest to it preserving MY wood yet, but my friend used it a number of years ago and her wood is still in very good condition and still looks attractive. I assume it will work the same for mine. I would have given this 5 stars, but I think the packaging could have been a little easier to open and reseal.
