I looked for a wooden bristled brush because I was sick of my plastic bristle brushes having the tips fall off, leaving the thin plastic bristles to scratch my scalp.This brush doesn't have tips on the bristles, but it doesn't need to because the bristles are thick enough and rounded off enough to not scratch your scalp. This is why it is listed as a good scalp massager. The bristles won't scratch yourself because there are no plastic tips that will break off.Now, before this brush, I had brushes that had wooden bases (but they had plastic bristles). What surprised me about this brush was the handle felt more thin (the handle is a flat shape and I'm used to a more rounded handle with more thickness than this brush). It hasn't bothered me very much, just surprised me a bit that this brush was lighter than my previous brushes and the handle was just something to adjust to (not a hard adjustment, just different).This brush comes with extra wooden bristles, for if a bristle ever decides to jump ship or if they somehow broke. I haven't had this brush very long, so I haven't had that happen, but it's definitely a customer friendly addition.This brush also comes with a free wooden comb. The comb is made of a slightly different wood, but it is also light. I like the shape and grooves of the comb. The spaces between the teeth are evenly spaced from top to bottom, which I don't often see in combs. I don't use it very much but honestly I like to brush my fingers against the soft wood and listen to the sounds it will make. It does work fairly well in the hair as well though.I have really long hair and this brush has been fairly kind to me. It felt like a fair price and I would recommend it.

This is a really great brush where both the handle and even the bristles are bamboo! (It comes with a nice cloth bag, comb and 2 extra bristles). It works in both wet and dry hair. It works in fine long and thick curly hair without pulling. I feel like it is great value and hopefully will last a long time. I like that it does not have the little plastic balls on the end of the bristles like other brushes. Those always fall out and are left in your hair or bathroom. The bamboo bristles here are straight and firm. The base if flexible so it gives you a scalp massage without being too hard.

(Wife’s purchase)Just received it yesterday and I love it!! It feels great on my scalp I could brush my hair all day!! Seems like good quality and I like that it came with extra bristles in case one falls out. It also came with a small comb, which I just wish was a little bigger or had a handle but other than that it’s I’m very satisfied with this purchase!! I have thick medium length hair, I also used it on my daughters’ hair and for the first time they didn’t say ouch while I was brushing their hair.their hair is thin and waist length

Very good quality! I only gave it 4 starts because it isn’t “the best” paddle brush I’ve ever used. I love that it is Environmentally friendly. Sometimes paddle brushes are hard to hold; put on this hair brush the handle is the perfect length and perfect with so it doesn’t hurt your hand and you can have a sturdy grip when brushing your hair. My hair is more on the thicker side and it works great!

As my hair is getting longer I began having the old issues with tangling and the pain of untangling it after being outside. Not being able to run to a beauty store I turned to Amazon. I did a search of hair brushes for untangling long hair and by sheer luck came across the idea of a wood brush with wood dowels. I did a little research and found many people prefer this type of brush with long thick hair. I've been using it for over a month now and I am most certainly a convert. It powers through the worst of my tangles even when I have wet hair. Out of the pool or shower or windy back yard it's working like a charm. It spreads the oils through my hair better than any brush I've ever owned. They included a couple extra wood dowels in case one falls out...so far I haven't had that issue. Me and My hair give this brush five stars!

This brush is the best. It doesn't have those terrible balls at the end of the bristles so hair doesn't get caught and it's easy to clean. Also the point of the wooden bristles not only work through tangled hair but they provide excellent scalp stimulation while brushing the head. This came with a really nice cardboard box to keep the brush in, a wooden comb and a canvas gift bag. Excellent value and quality all around! I bought this for my 9 year old daughter to encourage her to take good care of her hair and so far so good!

This wooden bristle brush is really something different. My hair is down to my bottom, and tangles are an ongoing issue. This brush is gentle on my hair, and leaves it feeling soft, and looking shiny. The wood bristles massage my scalp in a unique way, leaving me with a nice tingling feeling for a while after. Brushing my hair is something I look forward to. I highly recommend, as I will use nothing else from now on.

it's fine, I guess. It kinda pulls my hair and it doesn't catch the hair that falls out... so when I brush my hair I'm left with shed hair all over my shirt
