The setup of items received, includes :i) A roll-up type vinyl chess board mat.ii) A set of black and natural ( cream coloured )chess pieces with an extra queen for each set.iii) A hand-held & portable canvas bag that aids to easily transport the setup with you anywhere.THE VINYL CHESS BOARD :xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxi) It is composed of green and natural ( cream ) squares with algebraic notations for recording moves as in standard boards. It also has a label for placing the white and black chess pieces on either side.ii) The total end to end board mat measures 17.75 x 17.75 inches with a playing area of 17 x 17 inches .iii) Each individual square on the board measures 2 x 2 inches which is very close to the 2.25 inch squares in professional format.iv) The roll up board is quite decent in built & durability. It is fairly heavy and very pliant with a non-slip underside.v) From the initial looks of it , It would surely resist tears & liquid spills. Use of sharp objects though might surely damage it.vi) The roll up board settles to a flat surface upon slight reverse roll and feels good to support the chess pieces.Scope of improvement :******************************Not a con exactly but a suggestion from my side. The chess board mat roll , must be accompanied with a tubular hard case cover or shell to prevent it from being squished inside the bag. THE CHESS PIECES :xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxi.) This chess set includes 34 tournament level chess pieces with one extra queen for each color.ii.) The construction style of chess pieces look similar to the Staunton chess set with a king size of 3.5 inches . According to the rules of chess, this style is to be used for competitionsiii.) Each piece is nicely weighted and is carved out of premium plastic. The clinking of the chess pieces often resembles the clinking of wine glasses, to give you an idea of the quality of construction.iv.) This chess set has the height, weight, and proportions for tournament play regulations.The Dimensions of chess pieces in line with FIDE are:King: 3.75 x 1.5 inches ( 9.6 x 3.7 cms)Queen: 3 x 1.5 inches (7.7 x 3.7 cms )Pawn: 1.9 x 1.1 inches (4.8 x 2.8 cms )Scope of improvement :*********************************Few chess pieces had some finish issues at the sharp edges which needs to be improved.Upon discussion with the seller , New procurement of imported dyes have been initiated to further perfect the finishing.THE CANVAS BAG :xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxi.) This is probably one of the major attractions of the purchase which complements the storage and transportation of the set with a super ease of convenience.ii.) The bag comes navy blue in color and exactly measures 23 x 7 inches with handles and shoulder straps.iii.) The bag has an enormous space and separate compartments for convenient and secure storage of chess pieces , rolled up vinyl chess board , clocks , pens & a throughout partition for storing even hard chess boards.iv.) The bag has a bit of cushion on the inside too and looks a bit water resistant too.Scope of improvement :**********************************There are two things that I would surely wish to see improvised.i.) The front face of the bag must have a sporty logo of a dragon or something of that sort ,to make it visually more appealing- instead of the seller details and numbers.ii.) The fabric of the handles and shoulder straps could be made thicker to make it look firm and reassuring.FINAL VERDICT :xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI got the whole setup for 849 bucks which not only is quite reasonable compared to similar products on amazon dot com but also offers a great value for money for chess enthusiasts.Reasonably satisfied.

I received this professional chess set within 5 days.. So Happy to have this professional chess set. Vinyl mat is of good quality and the pieces are quite heavy...... It comes with a scorebook, a pen, two pouches to keep the pieces... The bag is of good quality. Feels like a professional chess player......Last... the product is value for money.
