Unfortunately, the micro-USB connector and the short internal charging wire are the Achille's Heel of this device. After two short rides on a recumbent trike where this device was secured and cushioned atop a canvas bag on the rear rack, the connector failed and it now doesn't charge at all. I would not recommend this product. It appears to me that the manufacturer is aware that its wire is too short and that the connection is poor because they have routed it through a canvas loop internally and when you remove the wire from the loop, the connection is faulty and repeatedly connects and disconnects before it ultimately fails. I know this because I attempted to charge my Samsung phone directly instead of the included battery. The Samsung audibly signals when it is being connected or disconnected and it repeatedly did so when the wire was routed outside the canvas loop. Unfortunately, the condition is permanent now in or out of the loop. A shame really because I believe this is a great touring concept. However, this product, clearly poorly soldered and designed to save a few cents in wire and solder, should be avoided.

These barely work. I placed a USB battery onto this and set it in direct sunlight for four hours. The battery showed as charging, but never got beyond the first battery charging light indicator (less than 25%). I was going to give it a single star, but it does work -- just not very well.

I gave it only 4stars because I haven't used it much. The only time I did use it with my iPhone it didn't charge the battery as high as I thought it would. I might have done something wrong. I will update the review after using it for a while.

I love the presentation, the Solar panel feels amazing, don't to cheap and looks great. What i Like is that i could try with another batteries and seems to work, but maybe I will get the bigger battery so I could use with a laptop. I really like and there is plenty of space to use with other devices. Also the string so you could get attach to a backpack is awesome.
