Pentair24850-0105 Valve and Gauge Assembly Replacement for Select Sta-Rite Pool and Spa Filters

Except for the top knob, this assembly was the same as the original except 20 years newer. It was very easy to install. It was more expensive than non-OEM products, but it worked straight up after install and there were no worries about my pump system being down if the part were defective or of low quality which was the complaint for several of the non-OEM products. Very happy that it solved the problem and that I can get on to other things. Once the pump cover was off, total install time was about 15 minutes including removal of the old pressure relief valve.

The first replacement valve body was cracked. The second replacement was received quickly, was easy to install and works perfectly.

Ordered this complete pressure release valve and gauge assembly kit for my Sta-Rite System3 Filtration unit.Set-up and installed in less than 10 minutes with NO issues....Works perfectly.First off I received the item really fast which is important for pool repairs this time of year. It was exactly what was needed to stop the leaks in my old set-up. I completely pre-assembled ALL of the parts into the filter tank adapter bushing (provided) first before installing the assembly on the unit. THIS IS HOW YOU KEEP FROM BREAKING THE "T" SECTION LIKE EVERYONE SEEMS TO DO WHEN INSTALLING. I see how some people can "mistake" the T Valve section for a "tool" to tighten the unit down. That will cause cracks and leaks almost every time. That's NOT how you do it. Then it was as simple as putting the assembled unit onto top of filtration tank using the Hex Shaped adapter ring to screw it into the tank by hand as far as it would go then taking some slip-pliers to gently give it a final easy, ever so slight, twist just to make sure it was snug. I DID NOT use the T section to twist it into place and try to tighten it down or try and use the T section to try and spin it a little more because the gauge was off. It will break if you try. If your gauge is not in a viewing angle you desire simply take your top filter lid off and rotate it so the gauge lines up better for your viewing pleasure.......Just a little patience and common sense can save you from getting a migraine and teaching all of your neighbors and family how many swear words you now.

Everything went well with installation, solved my cracked adapter part on top of filter system. Parts were fitting well and no leaks!Would have liked the price to be better as compared to Amazon.com, but it is still cheaper with the fast shipping than ordering separate parts from other suppliers.

Very cheap plastic. The pressure gauge not working. The bleeding valve missing an o-ring I guess and the water was gushing out plus leaking from the thread. So basically I paid $129 plus tax for a 50 cent plastic piece. Good business for them but not for me.
