Please, think hard and carefully whether your kitty really needs this. Our cat bit a chunk off while chewing it and it got stuck in her throat. We spent an agonizing hour watching her salivate, paw on her mouth, trying to get to her throat. We didn't know what was going on and were about to rush her to an emergency vet when she finally "threw" it up. She was immediately relieved but completely exhausted from the effort to get it out her throat. We're just glad that it ended like that and hope that the very hard stick did not damage her esophagus!

My cats went nuts for these when I first put them out. I have a big Tom cat who bites paper into little bits and will bite chunks out of the toilet paper roll. He is really the only one who stayed interested, but once he chews the bark off that is it. The others sniffed at them and I still occasionally see that one of the cats (I have 6), probably the Tom, has moved them around. I guess I need to put some fresh ones out as perhaps they lose their drawing power after they have set out for awhile. However, they are good value for money but definitely do not have the staying power of catnip!

I have a cat who likes to bite things (cords, hair ties, bags, boxes, string, etc.) and she LOVES these.I have a Kitten who also likes to play with and bite on everything as well, she also loves these.They're great little snacks for cats and kittens and they also double up as toys.My male cat is not very playful and doesn't really chew on things, he doesn't care for them.I think you should know what type of cat you have before purchasing these because it's either hit or miss depending on your cats personality.

My cat loves to chew. His food, my phone chargers, and everything he can put his teeth on.My main reason for purchase was to steer him away from showing everything in his path which it’s working great so far.He goes absolutely psycho when I give him a these catnip sticks!!! I can definitely say that I have seen an improvement, or should I say less broken chargers.I usually give the buddy one new stick per week. When I do, I hide it to engage my cat’s senses, and killer instincts.I recommend this product.

My kitten is still teething and bites on blankets. I tried [tirelessly] to intro these sticks to her. She has NO interest in them. I put a stick near her mouth when she's biting and and she dislikes it so much that she closes her mouth and stops biting. I don't think this is the desired effect. So disappointing.

My cat did not like these when I bought them, but one day I brought two outside, and my cat still had no interest. Forgot the outside and brought them back in, and they are a hit??? He will play with a few sticks that have only been taken directly out the bag, but seems to prefer to ones left outside and brought back in...Who knew? He is not an outdoor cat, we merely walk to the mailbox and back in the house. he takes off his own leash.

For the first time, my cats, and 3 others I gave these to, had No reaction to them. I shaved the bark down to wood and whittled on them even, and they may have well been chopsticks, there was no reaction. So, I doubt these are real silvervine.

the cats all liked the smell and at first seemed to like them, but within a few minutes the toughness made them undesirable. Since the cats ignore them. They may work for teething kittens, but in my experience older cats would rather bite rope than mess with these. Our cats all like dried matatabi leaves, but not these.
