Very nice. Better than the 'silver one' IMHO
Some reviewers here complain about this thing because it is hard to push down. You have to push the center of the plunger (it does have the word 'PRESS' imprinted there) to get it go down. It is a little stiff when you first start using it and STAYS THAT WAY (at least in the time I have had it) which is a good thing if you ask me. Just rotate as you plunge for easier plunging, just like the 'silver one'. Overall quality is good. The plunger is a little on the 'thin' side with respect to the gauge of the plastic material so it feels light but that's just how it is.I owned the silver one, KitchenArt I think, and it worked great until the base 'flange' broke off. I bought this one because it wasn't silver, so you can nuke it (not a whole lot though!) to warm up an ingredient, it was cheaper and it looked like the one AB uses.So far so go, I like it and would buy it again if needed.

Much better than expected
I used to have one similar to this one, which always tended to leak, and was made by a different manufacturer. This one seems to have a better sealing mechanism and is really sturdy. It says in the directions to hand wash only, which is not a deal breaker, but it loses a star for that as it would be really nice to put in the dishwasher. The only other reason it lost the one star is you have to be careful rejoining the two pieces as to not ruin the seal. We will see how things hold up with use and normal wear and tear. I have used it several times in the last few weeks and it has held up really well. Perfect for measuring things like corn syrup, honey, cream cheese, etc. I got the two cupper. Not sure I would get the 1 cup as it would probably be redundant.

Worth the buy.
Product works fine, good with liquids and solids. Have to be careful to to push too hard or the plunger will shoot through and come out the clear cylinder. Only initial issue is that the picture doesnโt match the product sent. Was initially confused and thought I was sent the wrong brand until I researched the history of brand I was sent.

Would not want to be without this cup
I'm not sure what these other reviewers are talking about.I bought my cup at (I believe) Target several years ago.My cup is the 1 cup version though...I do not know if that makes a difference or not.I just ordered BOTH one and two cup versions...I will get back with a further update later. The solid cup goes into the BOTTOM of the transparent cup.I start mine with the cups on a slight angle and turn clockwise and twist it into the other cup.My solid cup is white not yellow.I did not STUMBLE upon this product just now. I tried for two weeks searching at the local stores for this without any luck.So then I did a 'google' to get here. This product is great for measuring mayonaise and sour cream.I usually proportion two parts mayo to one part sour cream. When the recipe calls for 1 cup of mayo, I twist the BOTTOM cup to 2/3 and fill to the top with mayo and twist the mayo into the bowl and then reset the cup to 1/3, fill to top with sour cream and twist the bottom cup to empty the contents into the bowl.If this product has NOT CHANGED in the past three years then I would give it MORE than 5 stars.I hope they did not ruin a great product...will get back for update when these come in.Sept 2010 UPDATE:Well I am back for a couple more cups.Note that some other brand with a similar model has a BLACK PUSHER at the top of the inside portion.Because the pusher is black, it's very hard to read the markings on the side of the cup. It's hard to read black etchings when the background is also black.Back to this product ... it is now harder to push down ... pushing up or emptying the contents is not so bad.The trick to pushing the bottom down is to push on the middle of the top. Pulling just makes it harder to slide. If you fingers are not long enough then use the handle of a wooden spoon. The reason my first cup was easy to slide was because it had a CRACK in the side of the wall :)

Just okay.
Maybe I bought the wrong brand or maybe the one I received is defective, but it's useless for measuring anything over 1 1/4 cups, it falls apart and makes a mess. The idea is a good one though, if only used for 1 cup measure it is better than trying to dig stuff out of a standard cup and cleans up easily. I won't get rid of my glass cup for regular liquid measuring, however.

From wedding to wedding
I received one of these back in 1970 as a wedding gift and I am adding it to my grandchildren's wedding gifts. There is nothing like this for measuring vegetable shortening for cookies or any gooey thing like honey or molasses easily and mess free with no loss of product.

Not the model/brand ordered
This was not the item I ordered, but it will work.

Works as described
Several years ago I purchased the Kitchen Art Adjust-A-Cup (with the black gasket on the plunger) from a local store, and was extremely disappointed. Trying to accurately read the black lettering over a black gasket was extremely difficult, and the seal never seemed to hold, causing the cup to slowly slip to a different position as I tried to fill it. Eventually it got so bad that it would simply slide back down to the counter within a few seconds of being lifted. Ultimately I tossed it after the glued-on gasket pealed off and have been looking for a replacement ever since, which brings up the Wonder Cup. I've been extremely pleased thus far with this adjust-a-cup, which right off the bat addresses the visibility issue I had with the Kitchen Art by using a solid white plunger under black lettering. In addition, the plunger is a single piece of molded plastic (as opposed to a glued-on gasket) which so far is much more reliable and stable.
