This Tub is a just Perfect
I ordered this tub from Amazon. The shipping did take some time even though I have Prime membership and Amazon asks for a delivery window which was not kept. The tub in itself is very nice. The color "White Arctic" really justifies it. Other brands "White" really isn't that white at all. The Quality is really good. It is Acrylic and reinforced with Fiberglass which makes it very strong. The texture is really smooth. I did find that some of the fiberglass glue was splashed on the apron. Not sure how I would've gotten rid of it but I would've figured it out if I decided to keep it. I had to Return it because the underneath piping could not be adjusted in my house due to floor support beam, which was fixed up for 30" Tub. This one is 32" in width. Next time if I have a need and the fittings are appropriate, this tub is what I'm getting.

Love this tub!
This tub is amazing! Unfortunately my contractors chipped/cracked it in FIVE places during install so I'm hoping a tub repair will hold up, but otherwise this tub is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Deep, wide, a beautiful white color, no crazy pattern on the bottom and perfect for a long soak, bathing my pup, or just showering and not feeling claustrophobic. Honestly a GREAT tub and if it hadn't been chipped during install, I'd be super happy with it! Despite the chip, I still think it's the best decision I made in my bathroom remodel.

Poor install instructions.
Instructions say you can use either 2 x4 or 1 x 2. For alcove install cannot use 2 x 4. Plus American Standard in their install show no mortal bed which is false. The tub is great for an acrylic tub.

Good tub but got a crack
The lip on the top cracked in one spot when I pre-drilled holes to secure it to the studs but other than that it is a perfect width and height for someone that wants a good sized tub.

Buyer beware! Cracked and too long for space!
We ordered this product and it was delivered in a box on a pallet. Upon delivery no damage was noticed, but when we went to install it there is a large chunk of the corner cracked off that was hidden by a packing foam corner. Since it is beyond the “strict” 30 return policy, we will need to buy another or pay to have it fixed. This tub is also supposed to be 60” long. Measures 60-1/8”. So, we are having to modify all of the 2x4s to get the tub to fit. Save yourself some money and don’t buy this tub!! No need to shop at Build.com or American Standard either.

Great American Standard Quality Tub
This is a 60" x 32" x 18" American Standard Studio bath tub.It is designed for a three wall alcove framed in to these same dimensions. The drain is on the right side.It is in what they call an Arctic White finish. The interior basin measurements are 53" length x 25" width x 12" depth. The maximum water capacity is 52 gallons to the bottom of the overflow. That also gives the 12" depth. If you are looking for a left drain version see model number 2946.202I like this tub as it has a classic and universal appeal to it.It is all acrylic.Installation is pretty standard. You will need a recommended rough opening width of 60-3/16" and at least 32" in depth. I usually frame my alcoves at least a couple of inches deeper than the tub to allow for easier drywall finishing around the tub area. A level horizontal upper support flange called a stringer will need to be nailed onto the studs with the top edge of it at 17-3/4" off the subfloor. A 2x2 is what I usually use. You can rip a 2x4 in half. The stringers will need to be 30-1/2" long at the sides and then one long enough to fill between them on the back wall. The tub will need a support bed underneath it. A mortar bed is recommended. You will probably need at least a 5 gal bucket of mortar. You will embed the tub down into it until it rests on the stringers. Let the mud bed setup and then it will be ready to plumb in. It has a 1" deep lip on three edges that you will run your tile backer board down the wall to meet it. If you use 1/2" thick backer board your tile will then run down past the backer board and over this 1" lip. Sealant like a color matched grout caulk should be applied at the joint between the bottom of the tile and the tub deck.Post construction cleanup. I have found a wooden popsicle stick works well to pop off any pieces of stuck on grout. Don't use metal. Warm soapy water is recommended for final cleanup. Painter's naphtha can be used to clean off any adhesives or oil-based paint. This is a beautiful tub and should last many years if properly cared for. There is very little maintenance to it. Just be sure to use acrylic compatible scrubbing cleansers if you need to use them. 5 stars.
