I can see why this isn't sold in stores
This stuff is GREAT. The waterproofing that this stuff applies works so well that a quick strip of the fly line can sometimes cause the smaller flies to go airborne! Bigger and heavier flies, like a #10 muddler, remain buoyant even after catching a few. The first time I applied this I dumped a mixed bunch of flies into the container, and even though you are only supposed to apply to brand new flies, the repellant totally worked its magic on even the dirty ones. One application to approximately 40 flies still left about 7/8 of the container full so one jar will go a long way. You can try economize by draining the excess off newly coated flies back into the container but the payoff is minimal. The flies that get coated are good for MUCH longer than just the ones exposed Loon floatant. In fact, ever since I bought this stuff I have had no need to even take the Loon floatant with me. After using it once I can definitely see why the big fishing stores choose not to carry theHydrostop because if they did the store shelves would be FULL of regular floatant year around.

Better then advertized!!!
Works as promised, even better! Fished for 2 hours with the same fly. It never sank. Even in fast running water. Good by GINK! This is better ,easier to use, and no mess.

Works Well
I used this for a weekend of fishing and it performed quite well, it wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good at keeping my flies afloat. They did eventually sink a bit, but very little, if you took the time to dry your fly between a majority of casts you will probably be golden.

Hate the Container it Comes In But Okay Product
It works... for a while. Don't expect any solution to make flies float forever. Mostly just hate the container, they literally put it in the least leakproof container they could find. Tired of it spilling. Don't store it with your fishing gear, put it on a flat table in a place that isn't earthquake or accident prone. Better yet, pour it in a different container.

Does it work?
Smells funky and made no discernible difference on how well flies floated or repelled water... followed directions.

LEAKS BAD
As described by other buyers, the container the treatment is stored in leaks BAD. I would estimate that a 1/4 of the product leaked from the container an into the ziplock bag before it arrived. Even if this product works as advertised, I don't think its worth the hassle because of the container.

Not an "All Season" treatment
Advertised as an "all season" fly treatment is incorrect, you have to re-apply this several times as well. When used in conjuction with the drying powder and quick dry it is more effective.

good floatant
Loon makes good stuff, and this is no exception. Will float your fly as long or longer than anything else out there. Try some, I think you will like it.

I had read about this product but it was a ...
I had read about this product but it was a bit disappointing in the end. Yes it treated the flies well but I found that the flies didn't remain as dry as what I had read in the reviews. It may be the fly selection, cannot tell.

Four Stars
Works well for purpose, still require floatant on the fly however it lasts longer I found.
