Piranha Gear MMA Grappling Board Shorts - All Blank

these shorts are great. i got them because i already have enough fight gear with labels plastered all over them, i wanted some plain black shorts and my buddy sent me a link to these. they fit as described (i wear 30/30 jeans, and i like them to fit tight) so i went with the xtra small for my size. great fit. i have trained/sparred both standing and on the ground, and everything seems to be okay. no scratching from the velcro or anything. the only thing keeping these from getting 5 stars is that they have a LONG drawstring on the inside as well as all the velcro -- it is a pain to try and tie the strings up without getting them caught in the velcro. the string are already getting torn up from when they get caught in the hooks and i have to pull them off. i have to be really careful as i tie them up. not even sure if i need the strings, honestly, but i am still using them. but the shorts fit great, are super light feeling, don't restrict my movement, and seem to be holding up fine. i would buy them again.

These were nice enough, but the fit is smaller than I anticipated, around the waste. It's generous in the thigh and butt area. Also the waist draw-cord will stick to the velcro that closes the pants, and it will fray the cord as well. They should change the draw-cord to a material that won't snag/fray from touching the type of velcro they use in the pants.They were also a tiny bit lighter than I expected but I don't normally wear this type of shorts. Everything else I have from piranha is super heavy duty. I returned these so I can't tell you how long they would actually last. Good but not my cup of tea.

fit okay, but made of strange material. Almost like a light rain jacket material.

The shorts are very well put together. The material, stitching and closure are all solid. I got a medium, wear 32 waist pants and measured at 34 inch waist. They fit perfectly in the waist.Also, I was pleased to see not only did the company send me a personal email, but a handwritten note came on the packing slip. That's a touch you don't see with any company nowadays.Will be buying more piranha gear in the future.

The shorts are good. Just a little disappointed since I ordered the Large (35'-36') and I wear 34' pants, but they fit like a 33'. That inch makes a difference. Maybe I just got a bad pair, I don't know. The quality is good though. Good quality for the price.

I've had them for less than 6 months, using them 2-3 times a week for 45 min MMA class. The hems started coming apart after a few months and now the side seam split right at my hip. I don't think I'm too rough on them either.

Great training shorts! No need to spend a bundle on training shorts because these are excellent for this function. Plus, it is hard to find grappling shorts that don't look like they are better suited for the circus...flash is ok for a fight but I don't like it for everyday training. I've worn them about a dozen times so far and they are exactly as advertised. They are comfortable and seem durable. I use them for both grappling and standup and they perform both duties well. The folks at Piranha Gear shipped the shorts right away and they arrived in good shape. I will definitely buy Piranha Gear again and I highly recommend these shorts.

Im a medium 160lbs 32 waist and could not get the medium past my thighs, large fits fine so size up. Heads up these bad boys don't breath and get hot because its all synthetic.
